Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa today tested positive for Covid-19. The news of the CM testing positive for the virus came a few hours after he chaired an emergency meeting to discuss the Covid situation in the state.
Yediyurappa tested positive for the second time in eight months. Last year in August, the 78-year-old CM along with his daughter Padmavathi had tested positive for coronavirus.
“Upon having mild fever, today I got tested for Covid-19 and my report has come out positive. Although I am doing fine, I am being hospitalised based on the advice of doctors. I request all those who have come in my contact recently to be observant and exercise self-quarantine,” the Chief Minister’s tweet read.
The Karnataka CM will be moved to Manipal hospital from Ramaiah Memorial hospital in Bengaluru, where he was admitted earlier today following a fever.
