In the latest episode of Karthika Deepam, Monitha tries to manipulate Bhagyam into thinking about Deepa. She insists Bhagyam to resolve Deepa’s issues. Bhagyam is sceptical about Monitha’s concern for Deepa. She thinks if Monitha is indirectly suggesting her to send Deepa away so that she (Monitha) can marry Karthik. Bhagyam assures Monitha of the same and leaves.
Deepa tries calling Monitha. She is seen frustrated over Monitha’s lust for Karthik. She thinks Monitha must be deliberately toying with her emotions. Monitha arrives and sends Sourya away. Deepa asks Monitha about the conditions that she must serve to gain her missing daughter. Monitha demands Deepa to seek a divorce from Karthik. Monitha offers to help her get a divorce at the earliest. She further adds that she (Deepa) should divorce the man who always questioned her chastity. Deepa blames Monitha for the transformation in Karthik. She refuses to seek a divorce. Monitha then tells her to lose hopes on her missing child. She asks to choose between her estranged husband and daughter.
Anand Rao comes home to find Soundarya playing carom all alone. She is seen to be extremely unhappy with Karthik. She fails to notice Karthik around and vents her frustration with Anand Rao. She lashes out at him for humiliating Tulasi as well. Karthik objects and blames Soundarya for starting the game. He complains that she broke her promise (of not visiting Deepa’s place) first. Soundarya defends her act. Karthik declares that he has no respect for the person who brought shame to the family.
