In the latest episode of Karthika Deepam, Deepa hides the divorce documents seeing Soundarya, Sourya, and Varanasi. While Sourya thanks Soundarya for coming at the right time, Varanasi takes Sourya away. Deepa asks Soundarya to mind her own business and let her live in peace.
Soundarya slaps Deepa and further questions about the papers in her hand. Soundarya grabs the papers from her hand. She is taken aback learning that they are divorce documents. Soundarya then asks if Karthik has threatened or tortured her for divorce. Deepa eventually reveals that she had to sign those documents for the sake of her missing daughter, who must be begging alms somewhere.
Soundarya is puzzled. She tears the divorce papers and asks Deepa whether she knows the whereabouts of her daughter. Deepa says she has a way to find her and she is running out of time. Soundarya stops her adding that someone is toying with her emotions by lying to her about her second daughter. Deepa demands Soundarya to reveal who her second daughter is. Soundarya finally gives into the pressure and discloses that Deepa’s second daughter is none other than Hima. She adds that she took Hima away after her (Deepa) delivery.
Deepa has happy tears learning that Hima is her daughter. She emotionally thanks Soundarya but then finds fault with her for separating a mother and daughter without prior permission. Soundarya confesses that she had to do this hoping that they (Karthik and Deepa) would reconcile at least for the sake of the kids.
Deepa says that she is very angry with her (Soundarya) but beyond everything, she is happy that Hima is her daughter. Soundarya asks Deepa if Monitha had lied to her about Hima. But Deepa hesitates to reveal Monitha’s name.
