In the latest episode of Karthika Deepam, Karthik and Deepa reach the court.
Analyzing Karthik’s decision to get divorced with Deepa leaves Monitha panicked. She realizes that the court will direct Karthik to conduct the DNA test, which might expose her in front of everyone. She thinks of ways to deal with this new problem and accidentally bumps into Soundarya’s car.
She quickly realizes it to be Soundarya and apologizes. As Soundarya tries to stop her, Monitha rushes to the court. Soundarya concludes that Monitha must have instigated Karthik towards divorce.
Deepa steps into the court with a heavy heart while Murali Krishna blames himself for everything.
Karthik sarcastically asks Soundarya and Anand Rao to console Deepa. Anand Rao rebukes Karthik for his arrogance. Soundarya emotionally pleads Karthik to review his decision and withdraw the case against Deepa. Karthik asks her not to forget that she is his mother first.
The court proceedings start and Karthik’s lawyer argues that his client and Deepa are separated for eight years now. But Deepa is causing mental torture to Karthik. Unable to endure anymore, Karthik filed for divorce.
The judge grills Karthik about the wedding, Deepa and the reasons behind seeking divorce. Karthik replies that he married Deepa looking at her inner beauty. However, he fails to reveal his reasons for divorce yet.
The judge summons Deepa and questions why she is troubling Karthik, one of the reputed cardiologists in the society. She further asks Deepa about their kids. This leaves Deepa and Soundarya all perplexed.
