In the latest episode of Karthika Deepam, Soundarya and Anand Rao find Sourya resting inside Hima’s room. They both wonder at the maturity Sourya displayed in refraining from calling Karthik as ‘nanna’ (father). They think Karthik can’t be any prouder the day he comes to know that Sourya is his daughter. They sit in the living room and feel restless about the situation. Adithya comes home dejected after a tedious search for Deepa. Soundarya then tells him that Sourya called Karthik as ‘nanna’ and he is now furious over Deepa.
Meanwhile, Sourya has a nightmare and wakes up suddenly. As Karthik attends her, she bursts into tears and insists upon searching for Deepa. Karthik consoles and promises her to bring Deepa back home at any cost. Anand Rao and Soundarya are pleased to see Karthik taking care of Sourya as a father.
Next morning, Sourya and Deepa set out to search for Deepa. Hima encourages Sourya to be hopeful.
Helpless Soundarya prays to God for a solution for their issue. Much to the surprise of Soundarya and Anand Rao, Deepa collapses on the floor. Soundarya is concerned about Deepa while Karthik boils with rage. Soundarya asks Deepa where she has been all this while. Karthik asks Deepa why was she irresponsible. Deepa doesn’t reveal anything about her disappearance. She instead asks about Sourya which leaves Karthik infuriated. As she doesn’t respond to Soundarya’s questions and continues to ask about Sourya, Karthik slaps her.
