In the latest episode of Karthika Deepam, Soundarya tries to comfort Deepa, who has returned home after a sudden disappearance. She tells Deepa that Karthik has searched for her as soon as Sourya complained about her missing. Soundarya also adds that Sourya addressed Karthik as ‘father’ and he responded as a dutiful father, too. Deepa smirks and asks Soundarya not to hail Karthik in front of her. She says he might have helped Sourya on humanitarian grounds but not as a father. She reminds Soundarya of his double standards and also the fact that he hates her so much adding that he will never change in this lifetime. Soundarya tries to console Deepa and asks her not to lose hope but the latter is in no mood to entertain the conversation. Soundarya finally says she wants to believe that Karthik still loves her (Deepa) and they will soon reunite. She reminds Deepa that she has to talk about her missing when she is comfortable.
Bhagyam finds Murali Krishna gloomy and asks him to stop worrying about Deepa. He is back smiling only after he gets a call informing that Deepa is back. He scolds Bhagyam for the negativity and leaves to meet Deepa.
Soundarya drops Hima at school while Deepa drops Sourya. Sourya finally decides to reveal to Hima that Karthik is their father. She tells Hima that she wants to say something which has been kept as a secret from a while. As Soundarya tries to stop her, Hima takes Sourya aside.
