Katamarayudu 1st Week: Good But Not Enough

Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu has posted All Time 5th highest 1st week share but it will not be enough to save this sinking ship because of the exorbitant prices the rights were sold for.

After having a great first weekend, the collections saw huge dip on week days and then Ugadi festival came as a blessing for the action entertainer. The Pawan-Shruti starrer has collected a worldwide share of Rs 54 Cr in its first week. This is the highest in Pawan’s career and fifth highest 1st week earner only after Baahubali, Khaidi No150, Janatha Garage and Srimanthudu.

The film needs to collect another Rs 30 Cr to recover the full investment. Losses for buyers are for sure but to what extent, can be gauged from how the film holds up in its second week.
