How much did the Makers of ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ earn after the stupendous success? Though they haven’t made any profit from Part 1 after spending Rs 450 crore on the franchise, but they are certainly going to earn hundreds of crores with ‘Baahubali 2’.
After ‘Baahubali’, It’s only ‘Katamarayudu’ which fetched so much profit for the Makers. Pre-Release Business of this Pawan Kalyan-starrer is anywhere around Rs 115 crore (includes Theatrical Rights, Satellite Rights, Audio, Video, Digital & Dubbing Rights).
Total Budget of ‘Katamarayudu’ is just Rs 30 crore (excluding Pawan Kalyan’s remuneration). So, The total profit is a whooping 85 crore. While Pawan Kalyan will take home 60% of the profit (Rs 51 crore), Sharrath Marar would be pocketing balance Rs 34 crore.
The pre-release business of ‘Khaidi No.150’ and ‘Katamarayudu’ are more or less equal. Still, ‘Katamarayudu’ made more profit because budget of Chiru’s 150th flick is around Rs 40 crore excluding Chiru’s remuneration.
