It is confirmed that the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will reach Hyderabad through Hakim Airport by afternoon as his Pune tour git cancelled abruptly. As per protocol, if the PM visits a state, the Chief Minister and the Governor of the respective state should be present to receive the Prime Minister.
According to some Media reports neither the KCR nor Tamilsai would be present at the Hakim Airport at the time of Modi’s arrival. The TRS said that as per the rules, the Chief Minister’s office had sent information to the Prime Minister’s office seeking the necessary permission to receive the PM but Modi’s PS Vivek clarified the CM’s office that only five persons will be permitted to receive Modi.
So, TRS sources say that CM KCR did not get the permission to receive Modi and the five person who would accompany Modi on his arrival are Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP Mahender Reddy, Medchal collector Swetha Mohanti, Cyberabad CP V.C. Sajjanar, Hakimpet Airport Station commandant.
On the other side, KCR might be well encouraged with this denial of permission and he may use this as a political weapon. Telangana CM KCR is going to address a public meeting at the LB Stadium almost at the same time when the PM is scheduled to visit the Bharat Biotech facility and take stock of the progress in the manufacture of the company’s Covid vaccine, Covaxin.
