KCR declares 24 hours shut down

Telangana CM KCR has announced 24 hours shut down of the state starting from Sunday (March 22nd) 6 AM to Monday (March 23rd) 6 AM. After reviewing the situation of Corona threat in the state, KCR held a press meet and confirmed that 21 cases have been reported in the state.

“From tomorrow morning to day after tomorrow morning, people should voluntarily take up in this shut down. RTC buses will not run and no buses of other states will enter Telangana. The Metro will also not operate but five trains have been kept under Chief Secretary disposal in emergency situation. I urge the small time businesses also to close down on their own. Except emergency services, nothing should function tomorrow,” said KCR.

The Telangana CM also said the government is considering to shut down Maharashtra borders because maximum number of cases are being reported in the neighboring state. “Adilabad and Nizamabad districts have major connection with Maharashtra and so we are thinking to shut down the borders. But we will discuss with Maha sarkar and people before taking any decision,” said KCR.

On the international passengers, KCR appealed them to report to the police department or health department in case, they have any symptoms. “This is the time to stay united and we should responsible too. I request people with foreign travel history and their families to come out and reveal their details,” stated KCR.

Lashing out at social media and trollers, KCR said it is our responsibility to support our PM. “PM has asked people to come out and clap for people who are working tirelessly. Why should someone make fun of it? I request DGP to take action on the social media trolls,” said KCR.
