With the fresh Coronavirus witnessing a rise in the state of Telangana over the past few days, media reports are abuzz that a fresh lockdown might be imposed to tackle the virus spread.
The media reports claimed that the KCR government might go for the night curfew in the regions that are reporting the high pandemic infections. The temporary closure of educational institutions added fuel to these reports.
When these reports are creating panic in the public, Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao rubbished these reports and opined that there is no need to impose a lockdown.
‘There will be no other lockdown in the state. People should follow Covid-19 precautions like maintaining a physical distance. There is no need to panic, the government is working effectively to deal with the pandemic. Educational institutions were closed as there is a chance of virus spread from the institutions,’ CM KCR said.
In the last 24 hours, Telangana added 518 new COVID-19 cases. With this, the total number of infections related to respiratory disease rose to 3,05,309. Including three fresh casualties, the total pandemic deaths mounted to 1,683.
