The chief minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao praised Narendra Modi for deciding to go ahead with Central Vista project. He wrote a letter in which he mentioned, “Central Vista Project will be a symbol of self-esteem, prestige and national pride of a resurgent, confident and strong India.”
“I join you with a sense of pride on the occasion of laying foundation stone for the grand project of Central Vista,” KCR added.
Central Vista project is a mega redevelopment plan based in New Delhi for India’s new power corridor. A new parliament building, residence of the prime minister, and also the vice-president, and various other central government offices will be constructed along the stretch of Rajpath as a part of this project.
Well, there is a strong reason why KCR heaped praises on Modi’s decision to kick-start Central Vista project.
KCR has been facing stern criticism for proposing to build a new secretariat worth over Rs 500 crores in the place of old one. People questioned what is the need to take up such a high budget project amidst Covid-19 crisis.
Now that the Modi-led government decided to kick-start Central Vista, a mega project, KCR can justify his new secretariat proposal by projecting it as th pride and self-esteem of Telangana. Hence his congratulatory letter to Modi upon the commencement of back-end work for Central Vista project.
