KCR to announce national party before June 23?


Highly placed sources say that Telangana CM KCR’s plans to form a new outfit to play a key role at the national level are taking final shape. He has already held a spate of discussions with poll strategist Prashant Kishor on the issue and has entered a key phase in the formation of a national party.

Three names – Bharat Nirman Samithi, Bharat Praja Samithi and Bharat Rashtra Samithi – are said to be under serious consideration. The process of the registration of the new party with the Central Election Commission is also in its final stage. Sources revealed that KCR is getting ready to announce the name of the party and unveil its policies and programmes. Sources say that the announcement is likely before June 23.

KCR has already begun the process of meetng top national leaders of various regional parties such as the Janata Dal in Karnataka. He has already met the chief ministers of Jharkhand, Delhi, Punjab, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. He is all set to meet West Bengal chief minister Mamta Banerjee.

TRS sources also reveal that KCR is likely to address a massive public meeting in Delhi or its neighbourhood soon after launching the new party. KCR is likely to plan a massive recruitment drive in North India. He hopes to get the support from the regional parties in the South India. If sources are to be believed, the party is likely to have car as its election symbol.
