Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is going to create a new record on Sunday when he completes one month in office for the second successive term.
The record is that the Telangana chief minister has been running the government without having a full-fledged cabinet for more than 30 days.
KCR was sworn-in as the chief minister on December 13 and he would be completing one month on Saturday.
Though he has taken just one cabinet minister – Mohammad Mahmud Ali and gave him the home portfolio, there is nothing much for him to do. So, virtually, there is no cabinet of KCR in Telangana for the last 30 days.
It is unlikely that the cabinet will be expanded before January 18. It means, KCR would be running the show without full-fledged cabinet for over 35 days.
In that, KCR has broken a three-decade old record of former chief minister of combined Andhra Pradesh and Telugu Desam Party founder-president N T Rama Rao, who had run the government without cabinet for 31 days!
