With the Grand Alliance already metamorphosing into the actual alliance of regional parties, Telangana Chief Minister and TRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar has once again brought the Federal Front campaign to the fore. After going completely silent before and after the polls, KCR is now mulling to meet regional party heads to take the idea forward, with nearly one month to go before the election results are out on May 23rd.
According to trustworthy sources, Bharatiya Janata Party is reportedly expecting a dent in its vote bank in Uttar Pradesh which could decrease its majority at the Centre. Following this, the BJP is said to have instructed KCR to revive his idea again, to get Mayawati onto their side, before the Akhilesh-Mayawati duo of SP-BSP creates trouble for the saffron party at the Centre.
Before assembly elections in Telangana in December 2018, KCR had met West Bengal CM Mamatha Banerjee, JD(S) Chief Deve Gowda and Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy along with BSP Chief Mayawati, SP’s Akhilesh Yadav as well as Odisha CM and BJD chief Naveen Patnaik.
As Gulte had reported earlier that Federal Front could be BJP’s plan B which is being strategised and chalked out by JD(U) Vice-President Prashant Kishor, looks like KCR is making the right moves to ensure that NDA remains in power and he does his part in winning brownie points from the BJP and scoring well for Telangana.
