Kodi Katthi case: HC rejects AP govt’s petition

The Andhra Pradesh High court has rejected the petition filed by AP government in connection with the ‘Kodi Katthi’ case of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The National Investigative agency (NIA) has been probing the attack on Jagan’s case for the past three weeks. Objecting NIA’s involvement, AP govt filed a house-motion in court. After examining the petition and hearing the arguments, the court rejected it. This is a kind of setback for AP government.

However, the AP government is in thoughts to move to bench over this decision. The High court will resume its proceedings on January 21st and once again the petition of AP government will come to hearing on Monday.

Meanwhile NIA has fastened it’s investigation. The accused Srinivas Rao is shifted to Rajahmundry central jail. NIA also filed a petition in the High court that AP police is not cooperation in the probe and hence are not submitting the evidence available with them.
