Every coin has two sides. We can not always see one side and ignore the other. Take any aspect… you will find two sides to it. Similarly social media has its share of advantages and disadvantages. Everybody knows the advantages part. So.. there is no need to discuss again. Coming to the disadvantages, online wars between star hero fans increased with the social media. Targeting other hero & his films and trolling became a latest trend. Even the print & electronic media is supporting these fan wars by adding fuel to the fire.
Mahesh Babu was trolled in the social media last year, when Brahmotsavam was released.. Leading English dailiy Indian Express published a big article on this issue. It has become a hot topic at that time. Coming to the present, Kollywood is witnessing much more uglier fan war. Ajith’s upcoming movie Vivegam first look has been released recently. Vijay fans immediately started trolling Ajith. They are saying that Ajith’s face was attached to chiseled physique of some other guy. They have trended this online trolling Ajith for such cheap acts.
Even though Ajith fans condemned the allegations, a TV channel telecasted a program on it. The issue became serious with the telecast. Vijay fans are challenging them that Ajith should release making video if Ajith has really transformed his physique. On the other hand Ajith fans are saying that Ajith is not at all interested in doing such things.. everybody will understand the truth once the movie releases. Going by the allegations and reactions, seniors in the Kollywood are opining that these fan wars will not subside in near future.
