Municipal and IT Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Monday appreciated Traffic SI Ilaiah and constable Venkateswarlu for imposing a challan on his vehicle two days ago.
We already reported that the minister’s car arrived on the wrong route on Gandhi Jayanti day and the traffic cops issued a challan for the same. Following this incident, KTR called the traffic personnel to his office and appreciated them for acting as per rules.
KTR clarified on this occasion that the rules apply the same to the common people and the people’s representatives in power. He said that he is always ahead in following the traffic rules. The Minister clarified that he was not in the vehicle on the day of the challan.
KTR said that he would always be supportive of officers like Ilaiah, who act honestly in discharging their duties. He also paid the challan imposed on his vehicle.
