KTR demanding an apology from BJP President

The Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party president, Bandi Sanjay, to apologise to the people of Telangana, and especially to the people of Palamuru (undivided Mahbubnagar district), before stepping into Palamuru. This is in the wake of Bandi Sanjay’s second phase of his Praja Sangrama Yatra, which is an attempt to achieve a democratic Telangana.

KTR wrote an open letter to Bandi Sanjay, asking the latter to explain to the people why the central BJP never sanctioned national status for Palamuru RangaReddy Lift Irrigation Scheme, while the same was done for the Upper Bhadra project in Karnataka. He noted that the people of the area suffered from famine for a very long time and that their lands are now fertile, due to the developmental activities carried out by the TRS.

Furthermore, KTR asked Bandi Sanjay what the purpose of setting up the River Krishna Management Board was, by the BJP led government, when there has been no development in the area by that board. He also noted that the BJP and its leaders have been reportedly ignoring the repeated pleas by the people of the area, who have been appealing for a new railway line to Palamuru via Nagarkurnool. KTR also said that the BJP has betrayed the people of Telangana time and again and that Bandi Sanjay can only step into Palamuru after he has made his apologies. It is now to be seen what Sanjay’s reaction would be.
