With the change of guard imminent in the ruling TRS, KTR is now said to be focusing on the performance of the party MLAs. He is said to be focusing especially on the second time MLAs. He is said to be sending his close associates from the inner core to assess the ground situation in various constituencies of the state.
KTR’s internal surveys have shown that most of the party MLAs are unpopular in their respective constituencies. They are found to be involved in corrupt practices and land grabbing. As a result, discontent is piling up against these MLAs. Especially, some second time MLAs are being despised in their constituencies. The close associates of KTR are camping in these constituencies and are filing reports against such leaders.
In some places, intense groupism is wreaking havoc in the party. Several such groups are said to be meeting KTR with complaints against the rival groups. Sources said that KTR is particularly upset with the performance of a minister from Warangal district. Similarly, he is said to be unhappy with the work of a minister and an MLA from undivided Mahabubnagar. Even in Kodangal, there is intense groupism in the party. KTR is now busy setting things right and getting back the party on the rails.
