The war of words and confrontation between the TRS and BJP that had started with the paddy procurement issue is still going on. Both parties have been not leaving any stone unturned to target the opponents, irrespective of the issue. Be it the unemployment issue or any other issue for a matter of fact.
Going by the same culture, Telangana Rashtra Samithi Working President and Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister KTR targeted Andhra Pradesh BJP chief Somu Veerraju over his statements at the BJP meeting held in Andhra Pradesh the other day.
Taking a dig at the statements he made, KTR said it’s a shame that the Andhra Pradesh wing of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) is stooping to a new low. The Telangana IT Minister asked if the national policy of the party is to supply cheap liquor at Rs 50 or does the bumper offers apply only to the states where the party wants to foray.
Known for his wittiness, KTR asked if the offer implies only for the states in which the party(BJP) desperation is high to spread its wings. In his tweet, KTR attached the video in which AP BJP Chief can be heard saying that BJP will provide cheap liquor at lesser rates.
“Wah…what a scheme! What a shame AP BJP stoops to a new low. National policy of BJP to supply cheap liquor at ₹50 or is this bumper offer only for states where the desperation is “high”?” KTR said in his tweet.
Somu Veerraju, AP BJP Chief has been facing the heat of the statements he made at the party meeting that was held in the temple city Vijayawada. The state chief said that if the party gets one crore votes in the next elections, then the party would sell cheap liquor for Rs 70 per litre.
Not stopping there, the state chief further added that, if any revenue is left with the government, then they would make the cheap liquor available for Rs 50 per litre. He made these comments while targetting the ruling YSRCP for selling cheap liquor at higher prices. However, his comments did not sit well with many.
