Lagadapati Rajagopal, known as “Andhra Octopus” for his poll predictions earlier, has predicted victory for TDP in AP Assembly polls on May 23, when results will be announced.
Lagadapati held a press meet in Amaravathi today (Saturday) to inform that he will release his exit poll surveys at 6.30 pm tomorrow (Sunday) after Election Commission’s ban period on exit polls ends.
However, Lagadapati gave enough hints that TDP will win Assembly polls with a good majority and retain power again.
Lagadapati stated that AP voters preferred ‘cycle’ (TDP) again, while Telangana voters opted for ‘car’ (TRS) as usual.
Interestingly, Lagadapati revealed that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will enter AP Legislative Assembly this time indicating that Pawan will win his Assembly seat this time.
He also hinted that Jana Sena will win lower seats than what his elder brother Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam party had won in 2009 elections indicating that Jana Sena may win less than 16 seats.
Lagadapiti’s exit polls on Telangana Assembly polls in December 2018 went wrong. He said that he will also disclose reasons why his Telangana predictions went wrong during his press meet tomorrow (Sunday).
Lagadapati also made it clear that there is no question of a Hung Assembly in AP and people gave clear mandate (read in favour of TDP).
