YS Sharmila held a Sankalpa Sabha in Khammam district, Telangana. She has been lashed out by the ruling-TRS party leaders and Telangana-BJP leaders for her speech.
While speaking to the public in the Khammam district, she referred to KCR as dora and Telangana people as slaves. She said that KCR dora is treating the people of Telangana as his slaves and crushing them with his feet. In addition, she referred to BJP as a communal party that uses the Hindu religion for political gains.
TRS senior leader Gutha Sukender Reddy responded to Sharmila’s comments and said that the people of Telangana suffered a lot during Rajasekhar Reddy’s regime. There are traces of land grabbings, gundaism, and rowdyism at that time. He added that the people of Telangana will not encourage anything that has Andhra roots to be in Telangana.
On the other hand, BJP leader NVSS Prabhakar said that the YSR family itself is communal which promotes Christianity and Bible. He questioned why Sharmila mentioned the 4% reservation to Muslims during the YSR regime if she is anti-communal.
