Promotions are key to any film’s success. Even the big stars are allotting at least a week or two for promotions these days. Huge names like Mahesh Babu, NTR, Allu Arjun, Charan and others give many interviews, attend pre-release events and participate in other promotional activities. Advertising and publicity play an even bigger role in Bollywood. The PR team comes up with a clear strategy ahead of the release and promotes the film rigorously on all social media platforms, attending a lot of colleges and malls, visiting various cities, giving numerous interviews and attending television shows. Starting from Shah Rukh Khan to Arjun Kapoor, everyone promotes their film heavily.
But none of that seems to be happening with the ‘Chatrapathi’ remake. This action drama is releasing on 12th May and the buzz is very low. Bellamkonda Sreenivas is making his Hindi debut with this movie and VV Vinayak is directing it. His movies get hundreds of millions of views on YouTube which is why he is coming with a straight Hindi film. Nushratt Bharrucha is playing the female lead. The first song, teaser, and theatrical trailer were released already but none of them generated a lot of buzz on the movie. Not just in Telugu states but people in the North too aren’t aware of this movie release.
Many are wondering if it is a planned strategy to keep a low buzz on the movie in order to avoid comparisons with the Prabhas-Rajamouli film or a bad PR strategy. Let us wait till the movie hits the screens in order to find out what happens next.
Sahil Vaid, Amit Nair, Rajendra Gupta, Shivam Patil, Swapnil, Ashish Singh, Mohammad Monajir, Auroshika Dey, Vedika, Jason, and others played key roles.
