Mahesh Bhatt’s multistarrer flick Sadak-2 shoot resumes soon

Mahesh Bhatt who had been busy shooting the last part of Sadak 2 in March, wrapped up abruptly because of the horrifying pandemic situation. It is a sequel of film ‘Sadak’ released in 1991. It was proclaimed that the crew are intending to continue the film shoot in the first week of July in a seven day stretch. The decision of the government allowing the shoot with limited crew has given a lot of respite to the film makers to continue their works.

One peppy number that includes all the leads to be shot in Ooty has been shelved. Nevertheless, the director opted for facilitating the shoot in a Mumbai studio but not yet finalized. “We got the permit from Film City yesterday. So, we are putting things in order and will soon [determine] the studio we can shoot in. We will have to build a small set for the song,” Mahesh Bhatt said.

Sadak 2 is a much anticipated and loved project for Bhatt family as it took a long hiatus of two years to rope in Alia Bhatt. It’s a multistarrer project with four leads unlike its prequel which had only Sanjay Dutt. The cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Pooja Bhatt, Jisshu Sengupta and Gulshan Grover. The much anticipated romantic thriller is produced by Mukesh Bhatt and co-produced by Mahesh Bhatt under the banner Vishesh films.

As per the reports still the shoot location is not yet confirmed at Mumbai. The buzz is that the makers including other Bollywood film makers approached Ramanaidu studios(Vizag), which has been shut, to allow for their shoots.
