The team of ‘F3’ promoted extensively stating they are not increasing ticket rates and they will be issued at regular rates. But the prices in multiplexes were still Rs 295 across the Telugu states even though Dil Raju said that it will be capped at Rs 250. The ticket rates in single screens were also a bit high which may not help the film despite the hit talk.
But Asian Suniel who purchased the theatrical rights for ‘Major’ in the Nizam region has reduced the ticket rates drastically. The prizes for tickets in multiplexes are just Rs 195 which can be termed as the lowest for any movie after the third wave.
Due to this, the bookings have been quite encouraging and with the positive buzz around ‘Major’, the movie is expected to collect huge numbers at the box office. Looks like Asian Suniel came up with a better plan compared to a star producer and distributor like Dil Raju.
‘Major’ is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka who made ‘Goodachari’ earlier with Sesh. Abburi Ravi has penned the dialogues while Adivi Sesh himself provided the screenplay. Maratha beauty Saiee Manjrekar will be seen as the hero’s romantic interest in ‘Major’. Telugu girl Sobitha Dhulipala is playing a key role in this film. This pan-Indian project is produced jointly by Sony Pictures India, A+S Movies and GMB Entertainments jointly.
