TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy has written a letter to Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. Uttam told the governor that the corona was at a critical level in the state and that people would be severely affected by the corona if municipal elections were held at this time. Governor Tamilsai responded quickly to the letter written by Uttam Kumar Reddy. Governor called and asked Uttam for more details. The governor assured Uttam that she would talk to the state election commission commissioner.
On this occasion, the State Election Commissioner explained to the Governor that they will conduct these elections with all due care in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the Election Commission and the report given by the State Health Department. It is, however, reported that the Governor directed the State Election Commissioner on this occasion to assess the present situation at the field level and make a comprehensive report on the conduct of the elections.
