Several celebrities and political leaders in India have tested positive for Covid-19. While most of them have recovered from the virus, a few died battling the pandemic.
Now, former Prime Minister and veteran Congress leader Manmohan Singh has tested positive for coronavirus. He was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi on Monday. The 88-year-old leader has been admitted to the Trauma Centre of the AIIMS.
Earlier on Sunday, Mr Singh penned a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggesting to him five measures to constrain the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
In a two-page letter to PM Modi, Manmohan Singh said one must not look at certain numbers, but the percentage of the population vaccinated.
