We had revealed long back that young Mega hero Varun Tej and director Harish Shankar will join hands with each other for the first time. The film is touted as an official remake of the hit Tamil crime comedy ‘Jigarthanda’.
Now, we have exclusively been informed by a source in the know that the Varun Tej and Harish Shankar film will be launched on January 26. Furthermore, the film’s regular shooting will begin in February second week. In the film, Varun plays a negative role originally essayed by Bobby Simha.
Harish Shankar is quite determined to prove his mettle after receiving heavy criticism for DJ. On the other hand, Varun Tej has been flying high with different genres of movies of late. Jigarthanda remake will also feature Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta will jointly produce the movie on 14 Reels Plus banner.
