Megastar Chiranjeevi’s second innings got off to a great start but hit a few roadblocks on the way. He is making films faster than before and he is now giving chances to young directors as well. Movies like ‘Acharya’ and ‘Bholaa Shankar’ failed badly. While ‘Waltair Veerayya’ was a hit, ‘Godfather’ got an average response. As we know, ‘Godfather’ is a remake of Malayalam film ‘Lucifer’.
The movie did not get the desired result despite bringing Salman Khan onboard for a special role. But it looks like director Mohan Raja impressed Megastar a lot. He is the one who made ‘Thani Oruvan’ in Tamil which was later remade as ‘Dhruva’ in Telugu by Ram Charan. He is currently working on ‘Thani Oruvan 2’ and it is nearing completion. The latest we hear is that the ‘Godfather’ combo might repeat once again.
Recent rumors claim that the story discussions are ongoing right now and the shooting of this project will start right after Chiru completes his part in ‘Vishwambhara’. We need to see if Mohan Raja impresses Chiranjeevi with his script or not. On the other hand, there is a huge list of directors who wanted to work with Chiru after Vassishta’s movie. It includes Harish Shankar, Anil Ravipudi, Maruthi, Tamil director Hari, Kalyan Krishna, Nakkina Trinadh Rao, Anudeep and others. The list is getting bigger.
Even renowned directors like Trivikram and Boyapati Sreenu are eager to work with the legendary actor. Let us see if Mohan Raja gets the chance or not. Currently, ‘Vishwambhara’ shooting is going on at full pace. Trisha is the heroine and UV Creations are bankrolling it. The movie will be released on 10th January 2025.
