Union Minister of state for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale has recently made news by seeking an enquiry into the final match of Champions Trophy 2017 between India and Pakistan.
The 57-year Minister has again drew the attention of media by demanding a special reservation for SCs and STs in team India. The Maharashtra-based Ramnath is said to have expressed his distress for not being able to find any international-level cricketer from his community, after Vinod Kambi retired. ‘Only by inducing Dalits in the Indian team, we’b be able to achieve a strong side.’
The minister asked central government to consider his demand and order for an high-level enquiry soon.Earlier last week, Athawale accused that Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh involved in match-fixing to lose against Pakistan in final match.
