Anantapur district’s Rayadurgam MLA’s attempt to end his life has become quite sensational. MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy’s son Praveen Kumar Reddy attempted to commit suicide due to business related problems. The incident, which occurred in Bengaluru is being hushed up, sources said.
Highly placed sources said that Praveen Kumar Reddy and Karnataka MLA Gali Somasekhara Reddy’s son Shravan Reddy have started a cars showroom in Karnataka’s Bellary. Though everything was hunky dory in the beginning, differences began cropping up soon. There were disputes over profit sharing and income. Sources said that Somasekhara Reddy had directly intervened in the dispute and asked Praveen Reddy to explain the financial transactions. Unable to explain, Praveen tried to pour petrol on his person and tried to immolate self. The staff members doused the fire and shifted him to the hospital. He is said to have been discharged from the hospital later.
Interestingly, the news and images of the dispute and the incident are doing rounds of the social media. But, neither Gali family nor Kapu family have opened their mouths. They have remained tight lipped about the incident.
