#Modi In Mangalagiri: BJP Wants 5 Lakh Andhraites?

Now that the Telangana elections are over, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning a massive public meeting in Andhra Pradesh to counter Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) allegations. The BJP High Command is apparently taking this meeting very seriously and hence, has decided to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address people.

The meeting, which will be held in Mangalagiri of Guntur district, will have Amit Shah and other senior leaders of the party attending it. According to sources, the BJP will highlight how TDP-Congress alliance has been rejected by people of Telangana and they will urge the people of AP to do the same. BJP leaders say that it has been taken as a personal challenge by Amit Shah and team to make this meeting a grand success by mobilising over 5 lakh people for it. BJP leaders in AP are now busy making arrangements for the meeting.

With the Centre successfully being portrayed by the TDP as the one responsible for stalling several development projects in the state, BJP wants to explain to the people of AP its efforts and all the funds it has given to AP. This meeting looks like a desperate attempt by the BJP to portray itself as the “messiah” saving Andhra Pradesh from TDP’s clutches.

As elections in AP are on every political party’s radar, it looks like all the pro-BJP forces will now land in AP and make their best efforts to show the TDP government in bad light. Well, the days ahead are up for more political action in the state.
