Renowned Malayalam actor and Lieutenant Colonel Mohanlal has taken a proactive role in aiding the victims of the devastating landslides in Wayanad district. Donning his army uniform, he has joined the relief efforts on the ground, offering support and assessing the situation firsthand.
Mohanlal, who holds a commission in the Indian Territorial Army, has been deployed to the severely affected Mundakkai region. He has expressed solidarity with the affected population, emphasizing the need for unity and resilience in overcoming this crisis. In addition to his on-ground involvement, the actor has contributed a substantial amount of Rs. 25 lakhs to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.
Mohanlal’s commendable efforts have been complemented by the generous contributions of fellow celebrities. Mammootty and his son Dulquer Salman have donated Rs. 20 lakhs and Rs. 15 lakhs, respectively.
