‘Monkey Man’ Trailer: Fantastic Cut As Dev Patel Shines!

The way a trailer turns out decides the fate of the film. Editing the trailer in the right way is very important and we saw how ‘Animal’ team raised expectations and gave us an idea of what to exactly expect from the film. This helped Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film a lot. We have also seen how badly edited trailers give wrong signals to everyone thereby decreasing the hype on the movie.

Talented actor Dev Patel’s upcoming venture ‘Monkey Man’ is releasing in theatres on 5th April and the trailer cut generates huge hype and buzz over the movie. Set in the backdrop of Mumbai, this action-packed trailer looks fantastic. There is racy and slick action paired with a lot of drama as well. The way he used lord Hanuman in the narrative by drawing parallels is brilliant.

Directed by Dev Patel himself, he is seen as an anonymous young man who ekes out a meager living in an underground fight club where, night after night, wearing a gorilla mask, he is beaten bloody by more popular fighters for cash. After years of suppressed rage, he discovers a way to infiltrate the enclave of the city’s sinister elite. As his childhood trauma boils over, his mysteriously scarred hands unleash an explosive campaign of retribution to settle the score with the men who took everything from him.

Sobhita Dhulipala makes per presence felt in the trailer as well. The visuals are captivating and the action sequences are superbly designed. The film’s international cast includes Sharlto Copley, Sobhita Dhulipala, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Adithi Kalkunte, Sikandar Kher and Makarand Deshpande. Universal Pictures is presenting this film which is made under Bron Studios production, a Thunder Road film, a Monkeypaw production, a Minor Realm/S’Ya Concept production, in association with WME Independent and Creative Wealth Media.
