Mothukapalli all set to join BJP

Former MLA Mothukapalli Narasimhulu who is thrown out of TDP, is going to join the BJP. On Monday Mothukapalli met BJP National President Amit Shah in New Delhi and announced that he will soon take up the saffron flag.

Mothukapalli was accompanied by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy and Telangana BJP chief Laxman. The state BJP is expecting that Mothukapalli’s entry into the party will boost its presence among the backward communities.

Telangana TDP has suspended Mothukapalli from the party after making insulting comments against chief Chandrababu Naidu. Later he made attempts to join the TRS party. However, KCR was least bothered about him and Mothukapalli remained neutral for nearly a year. The BJP which is doing ‘Operation Akarsh’ in the state, held talks with him and finally managed to pull him.

In the last assembly elections Mothukapalli contested from Aler as independent but failed to get even deposit. Mothukapalli is likely to get the same Aler seat in the 2023 elections.
