The Crime Investigation Department court has extended Rebel MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju’s judicial remand till the 25th of this month.
As per reports, the AP CID is trying to implicate him on the pretext of not signing the release order. It is understood that an attempt is being made to extradite him back to Guntur.
On the 21st of last month, the Supreme Court granted bail to the MP. The Secunderabad Army Hospital discharged and ordered to submit bail bonds to CID court within ten days. However, Mr Raju was discharged from the hospital on the 24th and went straight to Delhi.
The MP’s lawyers submitted the sureties to the CID court in Guntur on the 28th. The court approved them and sent the release order of Mr Raju to Guntur District Jail. The documents were sent to the Secunderabad Army Hospital by the jail superintendent. However, the MP has already been discharged from the hospital.
The hospital authorities sent the release order of the Rebel MP to the Guntur district jail. The CID court held that he was technically in judicial custody, as he had not signed the release order. Orders were issued extending his remand until the 25th of this month.
