Former Minister,Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham who for quite sometime campaigning aggressively for kapu reservations got huge shock recently. His aggressive speech at Kapu Garjana in Tuni sometime back resulted in large scale violence sending shivers in the spines of everyone as the protesters torched the Ratnachal Express and also demolished five police stations.
Mudragada adopting an ultra aggressive stand even stopped AP government against taking action on the perpetrators of the violence. He has been giving ultimatums for AP state government and CM Chandra Babu warning of severe consequences if his government fail to implement Kapu reservations through ordinance.
He recently organised plate protests across the state. In the midst of all this he got huge shock when Balija caste leaders announced that they will not protest along with Kapus in future. This many feel will weaken the Kapu movement. Kapu community is worried that Mudragada movement will nt only weaken but also get confined to just three districts.
Balija leaders are unable to digest Kapus from coastal regions getting more political favours. They are angry with Mudragada giving importance to TDP leaders Kimidi Kala venkatrao, Minister Mrunalini, Botsa Satyanarayana. They are questioning when Kapus with prominence in three districts are protesting fervently why can’t balijas who enjoy good support in 6 districts do the same.
