Mudragada to launch Chalo Amaravati From July 26 For Kapu Reservations

Kakinada: Kapu patriarch Mudragada Padmanabham will launch a Padayatra on the issue of Kapu reservations from July 26. He said the yatra, christened Chalo Amaravati, would begin from his home village of Kirlampudi.

Mudragada Padmanabham said the Kapu movement for BC reservations, would complete two years on July 26 and the Chalo Amaravati is intended to remind the ruling party to keep its promise of according BC status to Kapus. He said the government was deliberately sitting on the Manjunath Committee constituted to looking into the issue.

“The committee has completed its tour of 13 districts long ago, but nothing has been done. Though several letters have been sent to the chief minister, there is no response,” he said. This only shows the dislike that Chandrababu has for the Kapus.
