It was yesterday that Telugu Desam Party general secretary and MLC Nara Lokesh announced that he contracted Covid-19. Now, his father and leader of Andhra Pradesh’s opposition, N Chandrababu Naidu revealed that he too tested positive for the virus.
The TDP chief issued a tweet on Tuesday confirming that he had tested positive for Coronavirus and was experiencing mild symptoms.
In the tweet, CBN stated, “I’ve tested positive for COVID with mild symptoms. I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions.
I would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest. Please be safe and take care.”
As soon as Mr Naidu revealed the news, TDP activists and his well-wishers took to his comment section to wish him a speedy recovery. Needless to say, several politicians across the country have tested positive for Covid-19 during the ongoing third wave of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the active Covid-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh crossed the 30,000 mark on Monday. The state reported 4,108 fresh positive cases, taking the total active cases to 30,182.
