Young and talented filmmaker Nag Ashwin is known for his unique films like ‘Evade’ Subrahmanyam’ and ‘Mahanati’. Both these films won the hearts of many and he is currently directing ‘Project K’ with Prabhas as the lead. He is quite active on social media and uses them as a platform to not just promote his films but also express his opinions about various issues.
Recently, he shared what he thinks about the architectural design of the Railway station which is going to be built in Tirupati. The Minister of Railways received severe backlash for the designs he shared for the yet-to-be-built railway station at Tirupati as many of them did not like these designs and felt that they are doing an injustice to the culture, heritage and spirituality attached to the holy place.
Director Nag Ashwin also decided to give his opinion about those designs. He wrote, “Dear sir as u might have seen in the comments nobody likes this The design looks like some generic western copy, some bad IT park tirupati is sacred, spiritual lets get ppl to design it who understand the rich architecture of India..and not this glass n steel copies.”
It needs to be seen how the Minister of Railways responds to this.
On the work front, Nag Ashwin is making a science fiction film based on time traveling. it is being made on a huge budget of 500 crores. Deepika Padukone is the female lead while Big B is playing a key role. Dani Sanchez Lopez is the cinematographer while Mickey J Meyer is the music composer. There are massive expectations on this project.
