For the way Mr Majnu tanked at the box office, probably Akhil Akkineni would have got the shocker of his life. With so many good reviews around, definitely, he is not expecting the film to fall beyond expectations when it comes to collections. But it happened. So, what next?
Close sources have revealed that after he completes the ongoing theatres’ tour with his director and heroine, Akhil will be heading for a two month break. He wants to go for detox after the heavy release pressure followed by a hectic promotions schedule. Naturally, that puts us in the spot to ask him, which director will be his next.
From Sreenu Vaitla to Puri Jagan, many names are heard so far, but it looks like Akhil is actually going with someone who is much more unique and super creative. Reports are coming that Nagarjuna gave a nod to director Krish for Akhil and that film will be produced on Annapurna Studios banner along with Krish’s friends as co-producers.
Director Krish is currently giving finishing touches to NTR Mahanayakudu with patchwork shoots, editing, and other post-production stuff. Let’s wait for an official announcement regarding this film.
