After being denied Nandyal parliament ticket for SPY Reddy’s daughter, the senior political leader has left Telugu Desham party and joined Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena. In Jana Sena, SPY Reddy and family is rewarded with one MP and 3 assembly seats in Kurnool.
But the senior, who switched his loyalties to TDP after winning on YSRCP ticket in 2014 polls, has received an open offer from TDP supreme Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who addressed a road show in Nandyal. Babu urged SPY Reddy to extend his support for TDP and to become a part of Nandyal development. He even went a step ahead and offered MLC seat for Reddy’s family, if they come out in support of TDP.
During his roadshow, Babu took potshots at opposition parties and promised an outer ring road for Nandyal. He added, ‘Nandyal should be made a seperate district and to make it possible, voters of Nandyal should give us a high majority.’
Babu, who made an attempt to appease SPY Reddy and his followers, said that he will not ignore his family. ‘Due to some internal reasons, we could not accommodate Nandyal seat to him. But, I will stand by their family. Soon after the polls, I will make Nandyal a seperate disty and we will work towards making it a smart city. Also, we will turn the agriculture College into an agriculture University.’
So, it remains to be seen if SPY Reddy will be ready to ditch Jana Sena, which gave him one MP and 3 MLA tickets to his family, to support TDP.
