Is Vice President Venkaiah Naidu unhappy being in the highest constitutional position? His comments suggest so and he wants to quit the Vice President job and spend the rest of his life serving the public.
Taking part in a private event in Nellore, Venkaiah Naidu said, “At this moment I would step down as Vice President and work for the people. The joy of being with people and serving them is something that can’t be expressed in words.” Also Venkaiah went on to add that doing good for people gives immense pleasure than being in Constitutional position.
When Venkaiah was active in politics and in the NDA government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi forced him to become the Vice President. Venkaiah was hell bent against becoming the Vice President but he bowed down to the pressure and this was publicly acknowledged by Venkaiah himself a few years back.
However, while commenting that he is reluctant to be the Vice President, Venkaiah adds that his well-wishers want to see him as the President of India. If Venkaiah really wants to quit the Vice President role and also the politics, no one would have any objection.
In case Venkaiah has a strong notion of serving the public, he can quit the constitutional job, politics and dedicate full time to his Swarna Bharati Trust. He can use his political experience for the development of Nellore district and also the Telugu states. Being one of the respectable leaders across the country, Venkaiah’s motive will be welcomed by people.
With political life reaching climax, Venkaiah should follow his heart that would give immense satisfaction.
