Shyam Singha Roy is said to be the most expensive film made in Nani’s career. The shooting of the film has halted due to the second wave of Covid-19.
Earlier, there were reports that the makers erected a lavish set at a 10-acre place that cost Rs 6.5 crore. Constructed by director Avinash Kolla’s team, the set reportedly resembles portions of Kolkata.
The latest update is that the erected set was severely damaged with the recent rains and heavy wind in Hyderabad. The makers will now suffer a big loss as the shoot is still pending there. As per reports, Nani is scheduled to shoot key scenes in this set after the pandemic calms down.
With the expected turn of events, makers are now spending close to Rs 2 Cr to rework the damaged set and get it ready by the shooting time.
Shyam Singha Roy is directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The team includes music composer Mickey J Meyer, cinematography Sanu John Varghese and National Award winning editor Naveen Nooli. The film is produced by Venkat Boyanapalli.
