Ruling TRS leader, Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar has started a noble initiative, Green India Challenge(GIC) that promoted green cover. The initiative was started in 2017. Over the years, the initiative has spread to several states in the country.
Now the MP’s initiative has earned appreciation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. Heaping prices on the initiative, he appreciated the program and even sent an appreciation letter for the MP.
The Prime Minister stressed on the importance of public participation in making the initiative a big success and expressed his confidence that the Rajya Sabha member could make sure that people take part in the initiative.
Narendra Modi has also showered praises on the book written by the MP titled ‘Vruksha Vedam’.The Prime Minister said that, through the book, the MP could create awareness and educate them to get a better understanding of the bonding between nature and mankind.
Replying to the appreciation letter sent by the Prime Minister, the TRS Rajya Sabha member thanked him for recognizing the initiative Green India Challenge.
In the letter sent to the MP, the Prime Minister heaped praises on the initiate and said, such initiatives are needed to make everyone understand the importance of increasing the green cover.
‘The Initiative inculcates the inspiration in everyone that worshipping Mother Earth and Nature is a part of our tradition and culture since the beginning. We all are the children of Mother Earth and we should coexist with nature, PM Modi said in the letter.
