NCB nabs Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend Sidharth Pithani in drugs case

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday nabbed late actor Sushant Singh Rajput‘s friend Sidharth Pithani in the drug case that came to light after the Bollywood actor’s death.

As per the statement of an official, the NCB officials who had been investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR) drug case, arrested Sidharth Pithani from Hyderabad under sections 28, 29 and 27 A for an alleged conspiracy and drove him to Mumbai.

Sidharth Pithani, who resided with late Sushant Singh Rajput at his Bandra flat in Mumbai, was one of the first witnesses to find Sushant hanging from the ceiling on June 14. Earlier Siddharth disclosed that he stayed with Sushant Singh during the covid induced lockdown and he met Sushant at 1 am, a night before his death. Last year in August, CBI investigated him along with cook Neeraj and domestic help Dipesh Sawant in Sushanth’s case.

The ostensible role of Sidharth Pithani in the drug case emerged during the NCB’s probe recently and hence he was arrested, the official said. However, his link to actor’s death is still not clear and yet to be revealed after thorough investigation.
