Former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy was murdered under suspicious conditions last year, by a group of anonymous people, at his house in Pulivendula. His murder cas was then handed over to a Special Investigation Team, and they had been investigating his murder case until recently.
However, despite no satisfying results coming out of it, Viveka’s wife had requested for a CBI enquiry into the murder of her husband. A CBI probe was approved by the authorities, and the CBI has been investigating the case ever since.
The CBI had initially investigated several people, including Viveka’s wife Sowbhagya and his daughter Sunitha. The CBI also did a thorough check of Viveka’s house in Pulivendula, trying to get hold of any information possible.
The CBI has continued to investigate the case today, for the 19th consecutive day, at the Kadapa Central Jail Guest house. The person to be investigated today was Viveka’s former car driver Dastagiri. It was after Dastagiri’s resignation that Prasad was made Viveka’s car driver. With the investigation of Viveka’s ex-driver, a lot of speculations are coming to light, questioning the reasons behind it.
It has come to light that Dastagiri is close to the owner of a footwear shop in Pulivendula, because of which he is being investigated by the CBI. Further information about the investigation is still awaited.
