Nithiin joined hands with creative filmmaker Chandrasekhar Yeleti for Check, an action-oriented suspense thriller. He pinned high hopes on the film and expected it would perform well at the box office. However, the film couldn’t post good numbers at the ticket counters and ended up as a dud.
But interestingly enough, Check seems to have stuck a chord with the small screen audiences.
The Chandrasekhar Yeleti directorial garnered a TRP rating of 8.53 in its worldwide television premieres. This is a better tally than the rating garnered by Nithiin’s hit films like Bheeshma – 6.65 and Rang De – 7.22.
The fact that a box office dud like Check posted better TRP rating than Nithiin’s previous hit films looks surprising.
Nithiin is currently busy with Maestro which is gearing up for digital premieres on Disney + Hotstar. He will be working with Vakkantham Vamsi for his immediate next project after Maestro.
