Former Minister and TDP MLA Atchannaidu was arrested before two and a half months by the ACB officials. He was taken into custody as an emergency protocol even though he underwent surgery just a few hours before his arrest. Many people thought there is some conclusive evidence against Atchannaidu that made the anti-corruption Beaurau act aggressively.
Eventually, Atchannaidu, after 70 days being in remand and facing repeated investigation procedures was granted bail by the court who are not at all satisfied with the explanation of the ACB officials who are not able to produce single proof or evidence against Atchanna after all these days of the investigation process.
ACB officials have made statements like politicians that they have evidence that Atchannaidu is corrupt as if hundreds of crores have changed hands and he is involved in thousands of crores of scam. Advertising the same thing in front of the media, Mainstream media, they made sure Atchanna gets no bail. However after many days, recently, one ACB officer concluded that Atchannaidu wasn’t benefitted a single rupee in the alleged ESI scam and he was taken into custody for some letters he issued in the favour of the person who are said to be committed this major scam.
This is such a ridiculous behavior form the ACB to held a patient, people’s representative in remand all these days for some signatures on some recommendation documents where he hadn’t benefitted a dime through the alleged scam. Let alone the former minister. What are they doing all these days? Have they got something out from him using all their interrogative experience?
There have to be some names if we are not wrong given the standards of the ACB. But not even one evidence is being found against Atchanna or any individual. So, who is out there to question the ACB in the first place for all they have done? Are they acting according to the wishes of the government without any shreds of evidence or proofs to take a leader into custody? Who is going to answer all these questions?
